Nepal. Journalist Bhrikuti Rai tells us about her country Nepal, which up until the 1960’s was cut off from the rest of the world. The capital, Kathmandu, was long considered a mystical place, a Shangri-La. 
People from all over Nepal flock to the capital in the pursuit of possibilities. It has meant that Kathmandu has grown at an incredible rate, and that the art and culture scene is increasingly vibrant. During the last 10 years, Kathmandu has come to represent the modern and cultural Nepal.
